Report on the Industry–Academia–Research Collaboration Visit Conducted by the Life Sciences Research Center

To accelerate the integration between the municipal government and academic institutions, establish a robust industry–academia–research cooperation system, and better serve the high-quality economic and social development of Zhangjiakou City, the leadership team of the Life Sciences Research Center recently organized a field visit to Zhangjiakou SENO Biotechnology Co., Ltd., located in the Northern Silicon Valley High-Tech Innovation Park. Faculty members from various research platforms accompanied the visit, along with more than ten graduate and undergraduate students.

Founded in 2014, Zhangjiakou SENO Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in the development and production of gene diagnostic reagents and related materials. Accompanied by General Manager Zhang, the visiting group toured several core functional areas, including the intelligent office area, standard laboratory area, PCR laboratory, cell preparation facility, technology R&D zone, the science and technology exhibition hall, and the large integrated laboratory base. The delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of SENO’s strengths in reagent development, gene detection technology services, latest research achievements, and corporate culture.

During the exchange session, Director Liu Kaiyang provided an overview of the recent development of the Life Sciences Research Center, the operation of its four scientific research platforms, and the professional expertise of the faculty members. General Manager Zhang introduced the company’s development trajectory, current status, and industrial demands. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on potential cooperative projects, aiming to explore new collaborative models through resource sharing and joint innovation to promote mutual growth and industrial advancement.

This on-site visit and technical exchange not only strengthened mutual trust and understanding but also laid a solid foundation for future collaboration in scientific research, technology development, achievement transformation, and application-oriented services. The visit holds significant importance for enhancing the social service capacity of the Center and supporting the company’s future development.
