Report on the Joint Establishment of the Zhangjiakou Key Laboratory of Genetic Testing by the Life Sciences Research Center and Zhangjiakou SENO Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

To address major public health needs for both humans and livestock in Zhangjiakou City, the Molecular Biology Platform of the Life Sciences Research Center has partnered with Zhangjiakou SENO Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to jointly establish the Zhangjiakou Key Laboratory of Genetic Testing.

The Key Laboratory focuses on genetic testing for humans and microorganisms, carrying out research and development of core industrial technologies and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Its mission is to develop new genetic testing technologies, processes, and products with the goal of achieving clinical application.

Featuring a close collaboration among industry, academia, and medical institutions, the laboratory is guided by both fundamental and applied research. It aims to overcome the bottlenecks of key common technologies and critical equipment within the genetic testing industry, achieve breakthroughs, and produce a series of internationally advanced achievements with independent intellectual property rights. Through the development of integrated product solutions and industrialization of outcomes, the laboratory is positioned to generate significant economic and social benefits.

The Molecular Biology Platform of the Life Sciences Research Center is primarily responsible for validating molecular testing technologies within genetic testing R&D projects. This includes collecting virus, bacterial, and various animal and plant tissue samples; performing nucleic acid extraction using newly developed genetic testing technologies; and conducting verification of reagent kit products.
